Indéniablement, les Romains aiment manger. Et de la bonne cuisine. Sous leurs airs de « qui vivra verra », ils peuvent devenir tres pointilleux des qu’on en vient a parler nourriture. Le centre de Rome est bien entendu le lieu ou vous trouverez le plus grand nombre « d’attrape-touriste » mais si vous observez les terrasses et qu’elles sont remplies d’italiens, n’hésitez pas une seule seconde, vous ne pouvez pas vous tromper. Ce sera sans aucun doute un bon restaurant. A Rome, vous aurez l’occasion de découvrir que la cuisine italienne ne se résume pas seulement aux pâtes et aux pizzas.

Les dizaines et dizaines de restaurants de la ville vous raviront avec des spécialités gastronomiques diverses et variées : de la cuisine traditionnelle romaine aux plats de différentes régions d’Italie en passant par des menus exotiques du monde entier.
Il y a du choix pour tous les gouts et toutes les bourses : des lieux a la mode qui attirent une clientele branchée, des restaurants raffinés, les innombrables pizzerias, les auberges populaires appelées « trattorie » ou il n’est pas impossible que vous rencontriez une vieille « mama » (non, ce n’est un stéréotype, j’en ai rencontré moi-meme régulierement) en train de préparer des pâtes fraîches maison ou enfin des bars a vin ou vous pourrez grignoter tout en dégustant un bon verre de vin.
